BETHEL —   David P. Ouellette, 65, died Friday, Dec, 21, at his residence in Bethel.

He was born in Brockton, Mass., April 7, 1947, the son of Robert and Doris (Gagnon) Ouellette, and graduated from Bishop Feehan High School, Class of 1965 and from Northeastern University, Class of 1987.

A veteran, he served  with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. David was married at the Holy Family Church, Woonsocket, R.I., on June 5, 1971, to Pauline Martin, who died May 16, 2009. He worked as a metallurgist for many years for several jewelry companies until retirement.

He was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior, Our Lady of the Snows in Bethel. He enjoyed the outdoors, skiing, snowmobiling and working with the Handicap Skiers Program in the area for several years.

Survivors include brother-in-law, Joseph Martin and wife, Sandra of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; nephew, Michael Martin and wife, Melissa of Rising Sun, Md., and their children, Matthew and Michael; a niece, Christina Arel and husband, Jason of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and their children, Phillip, McKenzie, Montana, and Madison.
