NEW SHARON — Bernard “Buddy” Gordon Collins, 64, died on Saturday, Dec. 29, at his home in New Sharon, following a long period of declining health and a short illness.
He was born May 12, 1948, in Farmington, the son of Charles F. And Edna L. (Thomas) Collins. He was educated in the schools of Kingfield and Farmington and graduated from Farmington High School.
He was self-employed as a lumberman and enjoyed working in the woods. Buddy also enjoyed horses, camping, fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He made his home in New Sharon for most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Collins of New Sharon; two daughters, Jennifer Ladd and husband, Al, of Temple and Beth Rackliff and husband, Brian, of Livermore; four grandchildren, Floyd and Erin Ladd and Benjamin and Baileigh Rackliff; two sisters, Betty Raymond of Merrimack, N.H., and Kathy Kenny of Sabattus; one brother, Frank Collins of Henniker, N.H.; and a large extended family.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a son, Timothy.
