VAN BUREN - Kenneth V. Parker, 55, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Van Buren on Jan. 9.

He was born in Edmundston, N.B., Jan. 14, 1957, son of the late Lionel and Jeannine (Michaud) Parker. He graduated from Van Buren Secondary School, Class of 1975.

Ken drove trucks across country for more than 20years, but most recently worked for the Department of Transportation in Van Buren. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment.

He is survived by his beloved companion of 23 years, but as Ken would say, “My wife,” Micheline (Mimi) Plante of Edmundston; one son, Todd Parker and his fiancee, Amanda Pulkkinen; one daughter, Amy Hollis of Connecticut; one stepson, Joey Dunphy and his fiancee, Tina Levesque, of Edmundston; one grandson, Nathan Dunphy of Edmundston; his special dog, Candie; one sister, Sue Parker and her companion, David Silsbee, of Caribou; two brothers, Alan Parker of Jefferson and Mike Parker and his wife, Carol, of Grand Isle; and several nieces and nephews.

Ken was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Gail Parker, Dec. 23, 2012.
