Blanch V. Martin

RUMFORD — Blanch V. Martin, 87, of Swift River Road, Mexico, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 13, at Rumford Hospital.

She was born in Gafney, S.C., on March 30, 1925, a daughter of Roberta Hayes.

Blanch was employed as a seamstress with Raleigh Manufacturing Co. in Baltimore, Md. She was one of the seamstresses who made clothes for the Partridge Family and the tuxedo for Richard Nixon’s son’s wedding. Blanch was loved by all who knew her and will be forever missed. She loved doing crafts and quilting.

Surviving are her son, Charles S. Martin and wife, Crystal, of Mexico; four grandchildren, Anthony Martin, Kimberly Martin, Danielle Martin and Analee Martin; and four great-grandchildren, Christian Murray, Marshal Murray, Tyler Richard and Calvin Martin.

She was predeceased by her parents; and a son, Daniel Martin.
