AUBURN — Barbara J. Hecker, 72, of Bartlett Street, Lewiston, died Monday, Jan. 21, from complications of lung cancer.

She was born in Lewiston, Jan. 7, 1942, a daughter of the late Lucien and Mildred St. Amand.
Surviving family members include her husband, Gerard Hecker of Lewiston; a sister, Phyllis Parks of Brunswick; her four children, Larry Hecker of Virginia, Deborah Libby of Lewiston, Lucien Hecker and his wife, Cheryl, of Georgia, and Kathleen Fickett of Lewiston; as well as countless grand and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of St. Mary's ICU as well as the Hospice House for their compassion and care given to their mother.
