HENDERSON, NEV. — Jacqueline M. Denis, 68, a long-time resident of Henderson, Nev., passed away unexpectedly Dec. 30, after a brief bout with health complications in her sleep at home.
Born in Lewiston on July 13, 1944, daughter of Armand and Ida (Cyr) Madore, she attended Lewiston schools and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1962.
Jackie married Raymond R. Denis on June 12, 1965, also of Lewiston. Jackie was a homemaker and raised two children. She had a passion for photography, computer work, cooking, sewing and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Later on in life, she enjoyed cruises, and she never passed up the opportunity to sail the ocean with her beloved husband.
Besides her husband of 47 and a half years, Ray, she is survived by a son, Darryl (Dana); a daughter, Darlyne (Michael) Gonzalez; six grandchildren, all of Nevada; and a sister, Harriet Scheinder of Lewiston.
A memorial service was held Jan. 6 and her remains were placed in a wall vault at the Southern Nevada Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Boulder, Nev.
