AUBURN — George A. Marston, 84, of Hartford, died Sunday, March 3, at the Hospice House.
He was born in Hartford, Nov. 21, 1928, the son of Allen R. and Thelma Hewey Marston. He attended schools in Hartford and had been a self-employed logger and farmer all of his life.
He married Margaret Farr on June 19, 1955. He was a member of the Hartford Community Church and the Old Crow Band. He enjoyed woodworking, snowmobiling, music and dancing.
He and Margaret enjoyed going to barn dances almost every Saturday night. He could fix anything and was a very proud and independent person.
He is survived by his wife; his children, Joline Tripp and her husband, Daniel, Stephen Marston and Kendall Marston and his wife, Debra; six grandchildren, Danell, Eric, Brian, Sacha, Ashley and Angel; and five great-grandchildren, Abby, Haley, Isaac, Silas and Emma.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Earl.
