AUBURN — Robert J. “Bob” Pinard, 79, of Lewiston, passed away Friday, March 8, at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn, following a long illness.
He was born in Lewiston on Aug. 8, 1933, a son of the late Arthur and Amanda (Martel) Pinard Sr. He grew up in the Lewiston area and attended local schools.
Robert was a member of the United States Army from 1950 to 1954. After leaving the military, Bob worked for over 20 years for Longchamps & Son Construction of Lisbon.
Bob enjoyed the outdoors, along with hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Acme Social Club in Lewiston and the American Legion Post 158 in Lisbon. He was also a member of the Pastime Club in Lewiston.
He is survived by his loving partner and companion of seven years, Grace (Robinson) Morin of Lewiston, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by five sisters, Yvette Edwards, Jeanette Webster, Georgette Clark, Priscilla Lozie and Anita Withers; and two brothers, Omer Pinard and Arthur Pinard Jr.
