NORWAY — Marie J. Bissonnette, 78, of Norway, formerly of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, March 19, at her residence.
She was born in Lewiston, Oct. 24,1934, daughter of the late Joseph and Viola McDonald Bourget.
She was educated in Lewiston schools and graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing in 1969. Marie was married in 1956 to Roger R. Bissonnette, who predeceased her in 1991.
She was employed as an LPN and nurse's assistant at St. Mary's Hospital until her retirement in 1982. She was a former member of St. Philip's Church in Auburn and the DAV Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crafts.
She is survived by a daughter, Roberta Lord of Brownfield; a son, Robert Bissonnette of Harrison; two sisters, Alice Poulin of Connecticut and Thelma Alexander of Lewiston; six brothers, Charles, Donald, Douglas and Paul Bourget, all of Lewiston, and Eugene of Bangor and Robert of West Buxton; six grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Nathan, in 1985; and a brother, Harold.
