FRYEBURG — Culvert replacement work on Route 113 in Fryeburg takes place Tuesday, Aug. 21, through Thursday, Aug. 23.
Department of Transportation officials said the work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and will necessitate the closure of approximately 500 feet of Route 113. The work zone is located 2,000 feet south of Corn Shop Road.
While local traffic will be allowed through the area, all other motorists will be guided away from the project site with detour signs and message boards. The stretch of Route 113 will reopen during the evening and overnight hours.
Route 113 will be closed southbound at Fish Street to all through traffic. Commuters will be directed to use Fish Street to connect to Route 5, until its junction with Route 302, then westerly back to Route 113.
Traffic coming from Conway, N.H., along East Conway Road will not be allowed northerly on Route 113 from the New Hampshire state border, but will be directed on Route 113 southerly to Route 302, then easterly to Route 5 north, then to Fish Street and back to Route 113.
