Firefighters from West Paris and Paris were called at 6:53 p.m. Tuesday to a brush fire behind a home at 6 Tuelltown Road in West Paris. Paris Fire Chief Brad Frost said the blaze was initially thought to be much larger, but firefighters were able to douse the flames relatively quickly and cleared the scene in about an hour. Frost reminded residents of the high fire danger across the state, and urged people to use caution in such dry conditions.
