A 2000 Subaru Legacy driven by Danielle Giansanti lies totaled on Coldwater Brook Road in Oxford after a head-on collision Tuesday afternoon. The other car was driven by David Foster, 69, of Oxford, police said.
OXFORD — A local man was seriously injured Tuesday when his car and one driven by a Norway woman collided head-on on Coldwater Brook Road, police said.
David Foster, 69, of Oxford was listed in fair condition at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston on Tuesday night, a nursing supervisor said. The type and extent of his injuries were not disclosed.
Treated for facial injuries and released from Stephens Memorial Hospital was 22-year-old Danielle Giansanti of Norway, the other driver involved, officials said.
Oxford police officer Alan Coffin said the cause of the 12:30 p.m. crash in under investigation. He said Foster was trapped in his Nissan Versa after it and Giansanti's 2000 Subaru Legacy hit head-on.
Lt. Michael Ward said a jogger running on the road was hit by flying car parts from the collision, but wasn't injured.
