PARIS — A reception for new Town Manager Amy Bernard will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at the town office.
Sam Eliot, chairman of the Board of Selectmen, said everyone is welcome come meet Bernard, who will begin part time in Paris on Dec. 3. She will become full time once she completes her work as town manager of Wayne on Dec. 17. She has served there the past four years.
Selectmen unanimously hired the 33-year-old Rumford resident last week, signing a two-year contract that gives her a starting salary of $53,000.
“We hope the public will come,” Eliot said. He also hopes to invite town managers from neighboring communities, local committee members and others to the reception.
Light refreshments will be served.
