HARRISON — A tractor-trailer overturned on Route 117 early Thursday morning, leaking an unknown amount of oil and diesel fuel.
The rig overturned into a brook between Maple Ridge Road and Deer Hill Road on the side of Crystal Lake at about 4 a.m.
Town Manager George "Bud” Finch said there were no injuries. The Department of Environmental Protection was called to ensure no fuel had leaked into the brook or lake, he said.
The truck was righted and towed away by about noon.
Finch said the Harrison Highway Department sanded areas of black ice and firefighters stood by to ensure the safety of responders and others.
Further information was unavailable Thursday night from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department, which investigated.
