Lights added to Opera House clock tower

Leslie H. Dixon, Staff Writer

Two men were hoisted to the Norway Opera House clock tower Tuesday to light the faces of the 1894 E. Howard clock. The lighting is to improve visibility of the Main Street building, which is undergoing a $1.1 million renovation to the five first-floor storefronts.

Fix the roof yet?

Looks to me like the roof is still bad in the photo. Perfect opportunity to fix it with that crane there.

Great!

I love this old building. All my school years and beyond, the first thing I would see from my window when I woke was that tower. It is a beautiful building and the heart of the downtown of Norway. Hopefully, someday, the upstairs theater and stage can be renovated like it was.
Thanks, again, to Leslie H. Dixon and the Sun Journal for covering this story.
