Photo: Jackknifed rig closes Waterford road

Dana Cook of Greeley’s Garage in Auburn looks over a tractor-trailer on Sweden Road in Waterford on Wednesday. The rig, driven by Pandre Faulkner, ended up in a ditch at about 10 a.m. Wednesday. Faulkner was hauling batteries to North Conway, N.H., and had relied on his GPS for navigation, Waterford Assistant Fire Chief Bill Haynes said. As Faulkner attempted to climb snow-covered Sweden Hill, the Delaware rig jackknifed, blocking the road. Waterford and Sweden fire departments rerouted traffic until 2:45 p.m. Once on the road, the rig had to be backed more than a quarter-mile to turn around at Ben Hale Road.

I did that once.....

That looks like me on "Streaked Mountain one night". Only back then we had no GPS to blame, I did it the old fashioned way, I ignored the weather conditions.....
