OTISFIELD — Slushy roads and over-correction caused a rollover on Route 121 that sent one person to the hospital Sunday afternoon.
According to Oxford County Sheriff's Department Deputy Nate Bowie, Dorothy Brooks, 57, of Casco was traveling southbound on Route 121 at 3:08 p.m. Sunday when she saw an oncoming vehicle.
Bowie said Brooks attempted to move over for that vehicle and her car's wheels caught on the slush in the road.
According to Bowie, she then over-steered, losing control of her 1999 Ford Taurus. The Taurus left the roadway where it struck a tree and rolled onto its roof.
Brooks was taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital with possible neck injuries.
Bowie said a combination of road conditions and over-steering by Brooks caused the accident, which destroyed the vehicle.
