Rumford selectmen recognized the service of several people at Thursday night's meeting. From left are James Nicols, who with his brother Billy Nicols, third from right, were named Rumford's Distinguished Citizens of the Year 2012-13; Ronald E. Russell, who served on the Board of Appraisers from 2004-10; Russell's father, Ronald M. Russell, who served on the Finance Committee from 2004-10; Peggy Susbury, who served on the Rumford Public Library Board of Trustees from 1997-2012; and Dan Peare, who was a Public Works employee from 1979-2012.
