MEXICO — The Mexico Police Department responded to 64 complaints over the past week.
According to Lt. Roy Hodsdon, 13 complaints were connected to a pellet gun shooting spree Wednesday and Thursday.
Among the other incidents:
Arrests
* On Nov. 2 at 3:21 p.m., police responded to Family Dollar store for a report of shoplifting. Hodsdon said police subsequently arrested Alyssa Newcomb, 20, of Auburn Road in Peru. Newcomb was charged with theft and was bailed from the Mexico Police Department. She is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Feb. 5, 2013.
Thefts
* A Harlow Hill resident reported at 10:54 p.m. Nov. 3, that their child's bike was stolen. The bike was valued at $150.
* A Rumford resident reported that while in Mexico, their GPS was stolen from their vehicle. The GPS was valued at $150. Police have a suspect.
