RUMFORD — An elderly Rumford man who was trying to remove the cover on his backyard in-ground swimming pool apparently fell in and drowned, officials said Wednesday. Raymond Berryment, 78, of 6 Royal Lane, was found dead in the deep end of the pool, Capt. Daniel Garbarini said.
