05/18/2013 - Tyngtown Club annual plant sale
Tyngtown Club's Annual Plant Sale will be held Saturday, May 18th from 8AM until 11AM at Academy Hill School Cafeteria, 585 Depot St Wilton, ME 04294. Plants for sale are donated by Wilton's Tyngtown Club members and others within the community. Each year the selection of available plants has grown to include, huge clumps of locally grown perennials, seedlings, herbs, shrubs and specialty plants. Tyngtown gardeners will also be available to answer gardening-related questions and provide gardening information during the sale. Gardening books are also available for sale. Homemade pies, cakes and breads are also featured. The club's plant sale has been an annual fundraising event for over 25 years. All proceeds are used to support a variety of community groups and activities. These include Wilton's downtown landscaping and flower boxes, Wilton Free Public Library, the Wilton Early Childhood Center, Academy Hill's Girl Talk program, and the Wilton Scholarship Fund. 05/18/2013 - St. Luke's annual spring plant sale
St. Luke's Episcopal Church (Wilton) ANNUAL SPRING PLANT SALE will take place rain-or-shine Saturday, May 18th from 9 am-12 noon in the church parking lot and undercroft. Perennials, annuals, herb & vegetable seedlings, along with house plants are all available at reasonable prices; there will be gently used gardening books & supplies as well. Enter our raffle for a chance to win one of two gift certificates to Robin's Flower Pot. There will be a Public Masonic Supper, to benefit the building fund, on May 18, 2013, at the Harland M. Harnden Masonic Hall, 70 Bryant Road, East Wilton, Maine, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. We will be serving Baked Chicken, Mashed Potato, Gravy, Vegetables, Cranberry Jell, Rolls, Homemade Pies and Beverages. $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for those under 12
