Newspaper editor gets cussed out

NORWAY – Police are looking for two young males who walked into the Advertiser Democrat office and briefly let out a barrage of swear words before fleeing Monday afternoon.

Officer Duffy Ellsworth said he had one possible suspect, but was still looking into the case.

The editor of the weekly newspaper, which has its offices on Pikes Hill Road and Main Street, said the males were in and out of the newsroom in two to three minutes, not even enough time to estimate their age.

“They came in and used foul language,” Susan Arena said. Arena was the only person in the newsroom at the time. They didn’t specify if they were outraged over an article, or mentioned any specifics about what the motive behind their action was, Arena said.

“I’m fine,” Arena said, after being asked if she was rattled.
