POLAND — Linda Laskey will bring the story of Lifesprings to the audience at the Poland Person to Person potluck supper, to be held Sunday, March 14, at the Ricker Memorial Library.
Laskey will tell how she and her committee of community members have worked for the past four years toward the building of affordable senior housing in Poland. Students from a computer design class at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, who have been working with the Lifesprings group to suggest design possibilities for housing units, will also participate in the program.
Laskey, the 2006 recipient of the Ballard W. Nash Community Service Award in Poland, has been a resident of Poland for 41 years. She will share the story of her idea for local senior housing, from inception to current status. She has entitled her program, “Senior I Am!”
The supper will start at 6 p.m. and the program will begin at 7. Supper guests are guests are asked to bring a casserole, salad or dessert. All are welcome to attend.
