NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – People from across New England are taking part in a multi-day march in New Hampshire starting Wednesday that will emphasize solutions for global warming.

The March to Re-Energize New Hampshire is scheduled to start in Nashua and end Sunday at the statehouse in Concord.

The march has been promoted by the Sierra Club and Sierra Student Coalition.

Organizers include a group of more than 30 college students from New England who have been meeting in New Hampshire and setting up activities for the march.

The goal of the march is to unite young people, faith communities, local leaders, union organizers and others to demand that action be taken to curb global warming.

Helping the group kick off their event on Tuesday in Nashua will be “Granny D” Haddock, who gained fame several years ago by walking coast to coast in the name of campaign finance reform.
