Sea Dogs' Apodaca to appear at Auburn's Republic Jewelry

AUBURN - Portland Sea Dogs catcher Juan Apodaca will sign free autographs Monday from 4 to 5 p.m. at Republic Jewelry & Collectibles on Center Street.

The store is hosting the event as part of its 25th anniversary celebration. This the 11th free autograph session in Republic's history. Past celebrities have included Troy Brown, Dennis Eckersley, Dwight Evans and Bill Lee.

The event begins at 3 p.m. with games and door prizes. Giveaways will include an authentic Dustin Pedroia jersey and assorted Major League Baseball gifts.

LEWISTON - LAYHL youth hockey registration will be held Wednesday, August 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Shipyard Lounge at  Androscoggin Bank Colisee. The organization welcomes all ages from 5 to 14, Atoms to Bantams.
