AUBURN — Dr. Lois Withey Hamel of Auburn, director of the online nursing program and faculty member at Saint Joseph's College, has been selected by the Daniel Hanley Center for Health Leadership to join its prestigious health leadership development program.

She will join accomplished leaders from across the state who will receive targeted training for navigating Maine's increasingly complex, competitive and demanding health care environment. Hamel has also authored a book, "Planning for a Healthier Birth and Beyond: Strategies Women Use to Manage Gestational Diabetes." The book was published by VDM Verlag Publishers.
