LEWISTON - Mid-State College recently announced the creation of a new partnership with Pediatric Associates in Lewiston.
Students in the medical assistant associate degree program now have an added clinical rotation at Pediatric Associates' Lewiston office.
Mid-State College's medical assistant students will spend time in the well child, sick child and triage areas, under the supervision of registered nurse Sue Veilleux, clinical manager.
Pediatric Associates is the largest private pediatric practice in New England, with a client count of approximately 12,000 children. Their office is located at 185 Webster St.
Mid-State College has a more than 100-year history providing education at its campuses in Auburn and Augusta. Mid-State College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award Associate Degree and Certificate programs in Medical Assisting, Medical Transcription, Medical Office Assistant, Business Management, Accounting, Office Administration, Computer Support Specialist, Computer Applications, and Early Childhood Education.
