Canton crash injures two
Maine State Trooper Greg Tirado said Monday that the Sunday evening crash on Jewett Hill Road in Canton remained under investigation as officials awaited a chance to interview the unlicensed driver, Megan Jordan, who was joy-riding in her parents' car when the crash occurred.
Jordan was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland where she was listed in critical condition Monday night.
"Obviously, our concern right now would be on her recovery," Tirado said.
A second teenager, 14-year-old Angela Ronan, also of Canton, was taken to Maine Medical Center with injuries considered nonlife-threatening. She was listed in fair condition late Monday night, a nursing supervisor said.
Tirado said Ronan was walking along Jewett Hill Road when she was hit by the 1992 Mercury Cougar driven by Jordan. It was unclear whether the girl was hit before or after Jordan's car hit a tree.
Tirado said investigators were waiting to speak with Jordan to determine why she was driving her stepfather's car northwest on Jewett Hill Road in a rainstorm. He said the couple, Dave Davenport and Kimberly Jordan, were not home when the teenager left with the vehicle.
"What she was doing in the car, I have no idea," Tirado said. "Obviously, you can't drive a vehicle without a license."
Crash investigators believe Jordan lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree head-on. Ronan remembered being struck but wasn't sure when.
It was unclear whether Jordan was wearing a seat belt, Tirado said, because rescue crews found her outside the car upon arrival but could not determine whether she had been thrown from the vehicle during the crash.
Jordan suffered head injuries and a broken leg as a result of the 6 p.m. crash, Tirado said. He said the teen did not even have a driver's permit. He added that speed was considered a factor, along with the fact that she was driving the car in poor weather.

I know the family. There must have been as good reason for Meg to be out in the car. Yes I agree... take responsibility and deal with the consequences.... unfortunately the consequence here has put her in the hospital... in critical condition no less. Maybe once all the details come out you wont feel so cold about it. Makes me wonder what your reaction would be if this had been your child. And no, you cannot say your kid would never think of doing this. That would be an ignorant thought.

if Bozo still took the car, then Bozo would have to deal with the consequenses even if
said consequence was landing in the hospital.

There is NO "good reason" she was out in the car, other than for a joy ride.

Not surprising
It is not surprising that the Czarist and racist factions of the old "Conservatively" Russian front are continually becoming seen all over again. The entire facets of hatred and fear seem to be predated in concepts from Stalin and Hitler himself. Using the vileness of the "outsider" as the most dangerous among us. Mr. Nachman you remind me of a classmate of mine who had felt that as she was of Czech descent that my mothers lineage of Irish-Jewry made it so that I would have to kneel before here.
As a Baptist this is rather disappointing to see that for all of the physics based knowledge one can posses creating an air of fear is the only true self-gratification one can get. In fact this is a bondage between those in the systems of your own family as well. The racism and the scaffolded humanist rejections with an air of continual fear is little more then self-centered egotistical facets. It seems to thrive on fear and donations to establish a "cult" mandated sense of the opine in writing and creates a narrow minded view of those who think differently.
Mr. Nachman while you enjoy the daily purges of illegal "aliens" does any of this truthfully set you so far apart from Stalin or Hitler? The very nature of the article which you write is more of instilling fear toward others; then little more then that? Is this a case where in reverse desperation anyone not deemed American would have to kneel down before you? The questions becomes of the VDare project just how much of a diaspora it would create and exiles as well if they had ever been given enough control to expel other Americans.
