EUSTIS - The Eustis Fire Department will receive $37,080 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The grant will be used for an operations and firefighting safety program, which consists of training, equipment, wellness and fitness, as well as for modifications to the fire station's facilities.
Three other Maine departments will also receive funding: the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department, $111,438, for its firefighting vehicle acquisition program; Hallowell Fire Department, $35,784; and Monroe Fire Department, $53,280.
The two latter departments plan to use their funds for programs similar to the Eustis department's plan.
