Four charged in spree

FARMINGTON - Police have charged four people in a criminal mischief spree that began Dec. 21 and ended Feb. 1.

During that period there were nine complaints of paint balls and what were thought to be BBs striking businesses, residences, vehicles and Cascade Brook School, Farmington police Detective Marc Bowering said.

It turned out that paint balls, as well as ball bearings fired from slingshots, were the cause of more than $500 in damage, he said.

Officers Darin Gilbert and Nathan Reid conducted the investigation that led to charges against two adults and two juveniles.

The four were charged with various counts of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, Bowering said.

Charged in the incident were Albion Tyler, 18, of Temple, James Robinson, 19, of Industry, and two Wilton boys, aged 17 and 15, Bowering said.

The businesses receiving damage were Maine Smoke Shop on Wilton Road, Franklin Savings Bank on Front Street, and Jim Martin Auto Sales and Prompto Oil, both on Wilton Road.
