FARMINGTON - The Sandy River Valley chapter of the Maine Genealogical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, in the computer room at Mantor Library at the University of Maine at Farmington. Kathy Lynch will explain and demonstrate useful Internet research techniques, which could help with genealogy research. Anyone with an interest in genealogy is welcome to attend.
Board meeting
FARMINGTON - The Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District will hold its monthly board meeting from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Feb. 14, at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Service Center conference room, 107 Park St. The meeting is open to the public. The agenda is available at the district office, 107 Park St. More information may be obtained by calling office manager Gail Dolan at 778-4279.
