Superintendent Michael Cormier reported that the Mallet School parking project is scheduled to go before the Planning Board in March. He said the project will result in "a much nicer parking facility, plus some drainage." The project will provide 10 spaces reserved for Mallett School employees, as well as entrance and exit alternatives.
SAD 9 recently agreed with the University of Maine at Farmington to allow UMF students to use the parking lot for the day up to early evening. UMF would be responsible for paving, drainage, plowing and maintenance.
The board held an executive session and found grounds to expel a female student. Assistant Superintendent Susan Pratt said the girl displayed threatening behavior. It was not known which school she attended.
