Valentine craft workshop offered

FARMINGTON - Everyone's Resource Depot is inviting children and adults to make valentines from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Feb. 10 and 11, and from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 12.

Those attending may choose from materials such as yarn and trim, card stock and red envelopes, glitter and sequins, odd bits of lace and ribbon, and pretty papers. Many sample valentines and valentine projects will be on display to help stimulate imaginations.

All ages are welcome to attend; $1 will be charged to cover materials and instruction.

The depot is in the basement of Franklin Hall on the campus of the University of Maine at Farmington. It's open to the public during regular hours: 3 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The depot's programs are offered to the public to create awareness of the fun involved in reusing scrap materials. For more information, people can phone 778-7150.
