FARMINGTON - Farmington artist Susan Pomeroy will show her paintings during February at Heirlooms of Tomorrow at 710 Wilton Road. The show will open Friday, Feb. 4, with an open house planned from 4 to 7 p.m.. The show will continue from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5. Pomeroy's work will be on exhibit and available for sale throughout the month. Profits from the show will benefit Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
Pomeroy, after 23 years of volunteer work, lots of travel and 15 years of teaching mainly high school French. A native of New York, she moved to Farmington in 2002. Over the past few years the subject matter has often changed, although Pomeroy said it is predominantly personal and abstract. She has experimented with different media but currently prefers painting with acrylics on edged canvas, using brush and palette knife.
During February the public may view Pomeroy's art during regular business hours from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.
