Three local players registered holes-in-one on golf courses throughout the state in the first week of September.
Jim St. Pierre of Auburn picked up his first career ace on No. 15 at Prospect Hill Golf Course. St. Pierre used a 9-iron on the 115-yard par-3. Nate Corliss witnessed the shot.
Brian Gallagher carded his initial hole-in-one at Houlton Community Golf Club. Gallagher landed his shot with a 5-iron on the eighth hole, covering 177 yards.
In a high school golf match, Cody Rodrigue of St. Dominic Regional High School used a 6-iron to solve the 184-yard seventh hole at Boothbay Country Club. Teammates Zach Deblois, Alec Dodge and Cody Mitchell witnessed the feat. The Saints won the match, 7-0.
