DIXFIELD - Wendell Blood and Tina Meserve were winners in the seventh-annual Dixfield Bicentennial Road Races.
Blood captured the men's 5-kilometer event in a time of 19 minutes, 43.9 seconds. Meserve was the women's champion in 20:00.4.
Nicholas Young (20:18.8) and Gunner Bradbury (20:26.3) were second and third in the men's competition. Kasey Darnell (25:58.8) was women's runner-up, followed by Meridith Skibitsky (27:03.5).
Megan Bradbury won the 1-mile fun run, checking in at 6:53. Jocelyn Daggett (7:37), Gretchen Bradbury (9:12), Kaylee Hagen (9:50), Summer Bradbury (10:35) and Katelyn Daggett (10:43) followed.
The Dixfield Bicentennial event was the third race in the River Valley Challenge Series. The fourth and final race is the Black Mountain of Maine Trail Race scheduled for Oct. 31.
