WOODSTOCK — Spraying a nearby house with foam kept a late-night garage fire in the village of Bryant Pond from spreading Friday, fire Chief Geffrey Inman said.
No one was injured and the fire was held to the garage at 86 Rumford Ave. The cause of the fire was being investigated but had been ruled accidental, Inman said. The Woodstock Fire Department responded to the call just after 11 p.m. Friday.
"We put foam on the house to save that, but once we had the water in our lines charged we had it under control in about 10 or 15 minutes," Inman said.
Fire crews from Greenwood and Bethel also responded to the fire.
