The Rumford Police Department responded to 69 complaints from 6 a.m. on Sept. 13 to 6 p.m. on Sept. 17. This figure does not include traffic stops.
Arrests/Summonses:
Sept. 10 at 4:30 p.m: Angela Woods, 28, of Rumford, was summonsed by Patrolman K. Scott Mills for an incident that occurred on York Street on charges of theft and violation of conditions of release. Woods is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Nov. 3.
Sept. 13 at 9:55 a.m.: James Bowden, 30, of Oxford, was summonsed by Cpl. Douglas Maifeld on Route 2 in Rumford Center on a charge of criminal speeding. Bowden is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Nov. 3.
Sept. 13 at 11:15 p.m.: Theresa Nicholson, 24, of Rumford, was arrested by Sgt. Tracey Higley on Forest Avenue on a charge of domestic assault. Nicholson posted $400 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Nov. 3.
Sept. 16 at 1:05 a.m.: Domenic D'Angelo, 21, of Rumford, was arrested by Patrolman K. Scott Mills on Spruce Street on a charge of operating after suspension. D'Angelo was unable to post bail and taken to the Oxford County Jail in Paris. He is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Dec. 8.
Sept. 16 at 12:30 p.m.: Rebecca Buck, 24, of Rumford, was arrested by Cpl. Douglas Maifeld at the Police Department after turning herself in on a warrant for failure to appear for operating after suspension. Buck posted $300 cash bail. The court date is unknown.
Sept. 17 at 3:40 p.m.: Timothy Gotto, 49, of Rumford, was arrested by Cpl. Douglas Maifeld on Essex Avenue on a charge of violation of conditions of release. Gotto was unable to post bail and taken to the Oxford County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Dec. 8.
Criminal mischief
Sept. 15 at 10:04 a.m.: A Knox Street resident reported his tires were slashed. Officers responded and found an additional six incidents of criminal mischief to tires with a damage estimated between $500 and $1,000. Two additional reports were reported the following day. The case is under investigation with a suspect to be interviewed.
Theft
Sept. 13 at 9:59 a.m.: A Cumberland Street resident reported the theft of two bicycles valued at $200. Case is under investigation.
Sept. 13 at 5:27 p.m.: A Spruce Street resident reported the theft of a bicycle valued at $300. Case is under investigation
Wanted
Jennifer Welch, 29, of Mexico, is wanted for failure to appear for operating after suspension, violation of conditions of release and failure to report a crash.
