LISBON — Two people were hurt Saturday when the driver of the car they were riding in lost control and rolled over on River Road.

Police said 17-year-old Dustin Bressler of Bowdoin was driving west on River Road shortly after 7 p.m. when he lost control of the car going around a curve. He hit an embankment and the car flipped onto its roof. Bressler was not injured, but his passengers, Joseph Bellevue, 17, and Joseph Boyington, 20, complained of pain. Police said they were taken to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police said speed was a factor in the crash, though they could not say Saturday exactly how fast Bressler was going. The speed limit on that section of River Road is 35 mph.

Lisbon Fire and Lisbon Police departments responded to the accident. Traffic was disrupted for about an hour and a half.

Bressler's 1992 Oldsmobile was destroyed, police said.
