Ishkanian joins health and wellness firm

LEEDS — Occupational Medical Consulting LLC has hired Mark Ishkanian as communications manager. Ishkanian is an award-winning public and media relations specialist with more than 30 years of experience in Maine.

Occupational Medical Consulting is a provider of occupational health and wellness services to businesses in Maine. OMC’s clients have received national recognition awards for their wellness programs and have achieved substantial financial savings by developing a healthy work force.

Ishkanian will continue to his work as a public relations consultant on a part-time basis while working three days a week at OMC.  He was previously the principal at Ishkanian Communications, and has worked as director of communications for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Central Maine Power Co.

Ishkanian, of Readfield, is currently chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Lung Association of Maine and serves on the Boards of ALA New England, Bicycle Coalition of Maine and Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce.
