Women’s Fitness closing, Total Changes opening

Women's Fitness & Personal Training is closing at noon Friday, she said. The gym has been in the area for 28 years, she's owned it for 21.

On Oct. 5 she'll open Total Changes Personal Training with a base of operations at Colonial Ridge, a condominium development on East Hardscrabble Road with a wellness center. Fogarty said there she'll focus exclusively on personal training, life coaching and nutritional counseling.

"All of my regular clients are all coming over with me," she said. "It's really been a fabulous transition. We've had parties all of this week."

Her instructors will continue to teach some classes out of Colonial Ridge, like spinning, step and strength.

Customers who had memberships paid in full at the health club can either get a refund or put the money toward sessions at her new place, she said.

Fogarty said there wasn't any particular factor in the timing of the move and wasn't aware of anything that might be moving into the space at 730 Center St.
