LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will host a Brown Bag Roundtable Discussion event for its members from noon to 1:15 p.m. on Oct. 6 at The Chamber office, 415 Lisbon St., Lewiston.
The topic for discussion will be electronic communications. The facilitator for the event is Dave Griffiths of Dave Griffiths Writing Services based in Mechanic Falls.
E-mail and its related means of communications have changed business communication drastically, putting pressure on nearly everyone to improve writing skills. Taking advantage of its speed and convenience without paying proper respect to the needs of effective communication can leave a harmful impression of a person or organization. Come learn some rules to sharpen the use of electronic communications and prevent harmful mistakes.
There is no charge for the seminar; however, those interested in attending are asked to register on the Chamber Web site at www.androscoggincounty.com, or place a courtesy call to The Chamber at 783-2249, or an e-mail to sschell@androscoggincounty.com to reserve a space.
