Ceara Teixeira of Lewiston, participated in Susquehanna University's student calling program. Currently, 31 students participate in the program. Student participants contact parents and alumni to encourage them to support the university, located in Pennsylvania, by making a donation. Funds raised are used to support scholarships, laboratory equipment, research, athletics, the library and the arts, among other endeavors.
In addition to contacting parents and alumni, Teixeira's responsibilities included updating the contact database and informing supporters of what is happening on campus.
Teixeira, a sophomore graphic design major, is a 2008 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and is the daughter of Randall and Lisa Teixeira.
