Incident report statistics

Between 7 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, and 7 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, Lewiston police responded to 527 calls for service. Of those, 100 were motor vehicle stops.

Accidents: 33
Disorderly disturbances: 43
Domestic disputes: 13
Arrests: 23

Criminal mischief

A mailbox at 353 Randall Road was broken overnight Sept. 27 — Sept. 28.

The windows of the old McDonald's at 1240 Lisbon St. were tagged with graffiti sometime prior to 7 p.m. on Sept. 29.

A company vehicle parked at Top Notch Fabrication at 35 Adams Ave. was vandalized overnight Sept. 24 — Sept. 25.

A vehicle parked at 35 Jefferson St. had its window broken overnight Sept. 24 — Sept. 25.

A garage and a storage unit that had been boarded up were entered overnight Sept. 25 — Sept. 26. It does not appear that anything was taken.

Theft

A male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a green jacket and blue baseball cap, has been seen stealing mail from 5 Jefferson St. on two separate occasions.

A green road bike was stolen from 368 College St. overnight Sept. 24 — Sept. 25.

An air pump was stolen from Lewiston Milling at 471 Main St. sometime between Sept. 24 and Sept. 25.

A blue Schwinn Sidewinder bicycle was stolen from the hallway of 104 Bartlett St. sometime between Sept. 25 and Oct. 2.

 

Burglary

An apartment at 84 College St. was burglarized at 7 p.m. on Sept. 27. The entry door was kicked in and a 42-inch Vizio flat screen TV was taken from inside.

An apartment at 45 Lowell St. was burglarized and had property taken from inside sometime overnight Sept. 26 — Sept. 27.

A residence at 10 Lemieux St. was burglarized prior to 10 a.m. on Oct. 1. Money was taken from inside.

A residence at 79 Heather Dr. was burglarized twice between Sept. 26 and Sept. 28. Cash, a television, jewelry, a Nintendo Wii, controllers and games were taken.

 

Motor Vehicle Burglaries

A vehicle parked on High Street near the LifeFlight helicopter pad was burglarized prior to 2 p.m. on Sept. 28. A GPS was taken from inside.

A vehicle parked at the corner of Frye and Oak streets was burglarized sometime between Sept. 25 and Sept. 28. A GPS was taken from inside.

A vehicle parked at 35 Wood St. had a window broken and a briefcase taken from inside overnight Sept. 27 — Sept. 28.

 

Motor Vehicle Theft

Two dirt bikes were stolen from the front yard of 122 Campus Ave. between Sept. 25 and Sept. 27.

 

Operating Under the Influence

Joseph Lawler, 23, was charged with operating under the influence at 1:38 a.m. on at Sept. 27 at the corner of Oak Street and Nomar Court.

 

Operating After Suspension

Jebb Mitchneck, 18, was charged with operating after suspension at 1:59 a.m. on Sept. 26 at the corner of Barron Avenue and Dove Lane.

 

Wanted

Travis Hale, 25, is wanted on a warrant charging probation violation.

Vincent Steed, 28, is wanted on a warrant charging domestic violence assault.
