It's a shame that someone has to die before a drunk driver does serious time.

Lisbon man dies in Bowdoin accident, Lewiston man arrested
BOWDOIN — A 25-year-old Lisbon motorcyclist has died as a result of a collision with a motor vehicle on Route 125 in Bowdoin on Monday night, according to police.
Wade Foster, 35, of Lewiston, turned his 1995 Chrysler Concord left in front of a motorcycle driven by Richard Paraskevakos, 25, of Lisbon, at approximately 6:45 p.m., according to a release from the Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Department.
Paraskevakos was flown to Central Maine Medical Center by helicopter, but was later pronounced dead.
Foster was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset, police said. According to a spokesman at the jail, Wade was booked and immediately bailed on $2,500 unsecured bond. He is scheduled to make his first appearance in Sixth District Court in West Bath on Dec. 15 at 1 p.m.
According to the Bureau of Motor Vehicle records, Foster is a habitual offender with a previous OUI conviction in 1999. His license was suspended for three months at the time, and he has since been convicted of operating after suspension and has been subject to several administrative suspension orders revoking his license between 2001 and 2007. His last conviction, in 2007, was for failure to display a valid registration plate.
Foster has no previous record of being involved in an accident.
Monday's crash is being reconstructed by the Brunswick Police Department and investigated by the Sagadahoc County Sheriff's Department.

Why was Foster out on the road anyways? I would support putting habitual offenders in Warren supermax, One more needless death because of the too soft judical system in Maine. How many more poeple need to die before these liberal judges stop letting these people back out on the road? I am a Truck driver, and I also ride a motorcycle.I see the tragedies caused by these MORONS who drink and drive, so many familys are ripped apart just because one person thinks he or she is above the law, I would favor ten to fifteen year prison terms for these idiots. and if they kill somebody, Life with no parole.
some may say that is too harsh, Maybe.... but ask the familys of the victims. alcholism is not a disease, it is a charecter flaw, and those who kill and cripple should be made to pay with their freedom, and those who enable them should pay also, such as letting a known offender use their vehicle, it should be confescated and sold to help the surviving familys. No Exceptions.
If you choose to take a
If you choose to take a drink and you choose to drive, you have chosen to take a life and that is MURDER.
Please let there be justice
Please let there be justice for once and let a drunk driver do serious time and a driver who kileed a motorcyclist co serious time and both suffer the financial cosequences as well by being forced to pay the victim's fsmily for their loss. Lets start making an example out of everyone of these drivers.

Wade gets no sympathy from me. Seems he didn't learn the first time. He didn't have any remorse when he got into his car and drove. That was his choice to drive. As for mommy2n1: I have never driven while intoxicated. In fact I have never had my license suspended.
