Passadumkeag man enters no contest in rape case
Thirty-nine-year-old Derwin "Tiger" Springer Jr. was accused of breaking into a neighbor's home last Oct. 29 and raping the woman who lived there. The Bangor Daily News says he pleaded no contest Monday in Penobscot County Superior Court and is expected to be sentenced later this month or in early November.
In accepting Springer's pleas, Justice John Nivison said a no contest plea results in a conviction just as a guilty plea would.
Defense attorney Jeffrey Silverstein told the News that Springer entered the no contest pleas because he had no recollection of the events when the crimes took place.

Again it should depend on what we provide for services. If you don't like providing a service, don't do so and then we will not have to fund it. It's so simple, why can't you grasp the concept. Pay for the services that are provided, if you don't want the services then have them voted down. When bush slashed taxes for the wealthy, he did not slash any spending, so he refused to pay for what he was spending. President Obama has tried to pay for the services he is providing, but republicans REFUSE to fund the government. They are so unpatriotic.
