MEXICO – The following incidents were
handled recently by the Mexico Police Department.
Arrest
Linwood Giberson III, 37, Lochness
Road, Rumford, operating after suspension, 7:07 p.m. Oct. 3 on
Main Street. He was released from the Mexico Police Department on
$300 unsecured bail. He is scheduled to appear in Rumford District
Court on Dec. 8.
Vandalism
Police are investigating a report of
vandalism and theft of items around several gravestones in the River
Road cemetery. A report was made at 4 p.m. Oct. 1 by a person who
was caring for a family plot. A number of wrought iron decorations
were damaged, and solar lamps taken.
Burglary
A passer-by reported at 12:49 p.m.
Sept. 30 that someone has forcibly entered a vacant residence on the
Intervale Road. The door had been broken, but nothing appears to have
been taken.
Theft
A Sun Valley Circle resident reported
at 8:18 p.m. Oct. 3 that someone had taken an undisclosed amount of
money from her purse when she temporarily left it on her porch.
Police have a suspect.
