Speaking at a news conference at Bath City Hall on Thursday, retired Maj. Gen. Donald Edwards of South Bristol and two other veterans urged passage of the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act. The bill calls for pollution reduction measures and a shift of energy policies away from fossil fuels.
Edwards said it's in America's national security interests to reduce U.S. dependence on foreign oil.
The bill faces an uphill battle in the Senate, where critics say it would lead to higher energy prices.

Well, they're right about one thing. It is in America's national security interest to lose our dependence on foreign oil. But cap and trade is not the way. We should drill more of our own and use more nuclear power. While we're addressing national security issues, we might want to include balanced bugets instead of selling our kids' futures to the Chinese and anybody else who still dares to buy our debt. P.S. Tron's an idiot.
Dittos Big Love!
Anybody wanting to know how much of a scam Cap n' Tax is should Google "Enron and Cap and Trade"
Turns out the good ol boys at a company by the name of Enron are the ones who came up with that plan to get rich quick.
Now where have I heard the name Enron before?
tron - you're just a plain idiot
trons no plain idiot, with all the practice he gets he's darn near a perfect idiot!
Anybody reading trons posts could pretty much be considered an expert on idiots.
You, jcn, are a coward. Show yourself or keep quiet. Perhaps if you had the guts to show who you are you wouldn't be so quick to hurl insults. But then perhaps you're an expert on idiots.
Gil, I suspect these highly place military veterans are more knowledgeable than a lowly buck private, or whatever you'll claim to have achieved. FYI, servicing in the Limbaugh Private Army of Hatred and Bigotry does NOT qualify you as a veteran.
Nice to see that you can always depend on libs to use a personal chance for a personal attack when they have nothing meaningful to offer. I doubt that Dan ever served in any meaningful way, as much as I doubt that he would like to meet in person to discuss what it actually means when you spit on a veteran's service.

You are a liar, gil. I have not attacked you, personally or otherwise. Plus, I know you've never served, except maybe ringing the bell.
Name the time and place sad little man. It's easy to call me a liar about something as honorable as serving in our nations military while hiding behind a computer screen. Let's see how brave you are face to face.

Just what I thought, a lying coward.

As a veteran, I'd have to say that three vets do not speak for all. The title to this article is ludicrous and beyond stupid. If the best they can do is 3 vets from Maine being duped into believing in "climate change", then the SJ really is hard up to push their agenda.
