State Chamber offering seminar in Auburn

AUBURN — The Maine State Chamber of Commerce, together with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will present "Federal Cap and Trade Legislation: Challenges and Opportunities for Maine's Business Community."

The event is open to the public and will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon Oct. 13 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 14 Great Falls Plaza. It will feature speakers Ross Eisenberg of the Environmental and Energy Counsel at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; Commissioner David Littell, Maine Department of Environmental Protection; and Margo Thorning, senior vice president and chief economist with the American Council for Capital Formation. A question and answer panel discussion will follow.

There is no cost for the event, which includes a continental breakfast, but seating is limited. For more information, go to the Maine Chamber Web site: www.mainechamber.org. Those interested in attending may register the day of the event.
