Small business forum planned

DALLAS PLANTATION — The office of U.S. Sen. Olympia J. Snowe is presenting a Franklin County Small Business Forum on Oct. 21 at Saddleback Maine Ski Resort. Featured speaker will be Jeanne A. Hulit, regional administrator for New England, U.S. Small Business Administration.

Sponsored by the Rangeley Chamber of Commerce, Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and Greater Franklin Development Corp. and the resort, the forum will be held from 1-3 p.m. at Saddleback Maine. Topics include custom training, business lending, business plan development, startup counseling, peer networks, computer training, cash-flow planning, tax-credit packaging, marketing and tourism, and site selection.

The topics are geared to be helpful for those already in business or aspiring to start one. There is no cost and light refreshments will be served. Registration deadline is Oct. 16. Call 778-4215, 864-5364 or e-mail: info@franklincountymaine.org or info@rangeleymaine.org.
